Pietraluce (IN PROGRESS)
Pietraluce is a young family-run wine estate melding passion, respect for nature and the pleasure which comes with making an exciting wine.
For the Savoldi family wine has always been about sharing and joy and, most of all, about passion.
The estate is located in Cazzago San Martino, on 8 hectares divided into 3 vineyards, which have different and complementary characteristics, at the heart of Franciacorta.
Marika Bertoli, the young owner, runs the estate together with his uncle and grandfather, both experts in the wine sector. Since the beginning the Savoldi family decided to invest in innovative, technological and efficient equipment, and to focus on the nature itself.
The set goals range from the decisive reduction in the use of chemical products in the vineyards to the reduction of soil tillage to achieve greater longevity of the vines, the maintenance of the health of the grapes and the increase in their quality.
The object for Pietraluce is to obtain a small ecosystem for each vineyard where man enters as little as possible.
The Savoldi family has also chosen to grow only Chardonnay for their Franciacorta DOCG sparkling wines.
