Montefalco Rosso

A refined yet spirited expression of Umbrian terroir, this Montefalco Rosso brings together Sangiovese, Merlot, and Sagrantino in a wine of elegance, energy, and depth. Aged a minimum of six months in French oak, it pours an intense ruby-red with violet highlights, its bouquet alive with cherry, wild underbrush, and a flourish of warm spice. The palate is soft, voluptuous, and full of life, tannins and acidity dancing in graceful balance toward a long, fruit-driven finish.

“This is very polished and refined with polished tannins and a fruity finish. Full body and bright acidity. Drink now."

2010 Rosso di Montefalco – 87 Points – Robert Parker Wine Advocate (#208 Aug.2013)
“The 2010 Montefalco Rosso delivers some raw characteristics of crushed berry, cassis, leather and Indian spice. It’s not a wine of big complexity, but it does wash down easily and shows enough natural structure to pair with grilled sausages and onions.” ~A.G.
