Barolo D.O.C.G.

Variety: 100% Nebbiolo Lampia.

 

Vineyard: The grapes for our Barolo come from some vineyards of La Morra located in the following geographical indications: Rive (250 m asl), Roncaglie (300m asl) and Rocchettevino (400-450m asl).

 

Elevation: Between 250 m asl and 450 m asl.

 

Vine age: From 30 to 70 years.

 

Exposure: From east to south-east.

 

WINEMAKING

 

Vinification: After destemming and crushing, the fermentation starts spontaneously inside the steel tanks at controlled temperatures and the maceration continues for 25-30 days.

 

Aging: Nebbiolo for Barolo is aged in big oak casks of 60 Hl from Austria. The last months before bottling are spent in concrete tanks to let the wine acquire a better balance in the taste.
